Are You Feeling Presidential?

I know it's not a topic we've spoken much about, but I thought this morning would be a good time to take a moment to recognize this election as a moment when my generation began to take a serious interest in the politics of America. My personal political views aren't relevant here, but I am a firm believer in bringing as many voters to the polls as we possibly can.

From my professional perspective, I can only hope that President-Elect Obama will provide the necessary commitment in both funding and resolve to make lasting and significant improvements to our nation's child protection infrastructure. It's hardly a campaign issue, but it would be nice to stem the tide of budget cuts and personnel losses that have made protecting children so much harder these last few years.
