News Update for 1.16.09
Another week, down the drain! It seems like every time I turn around, it's Friday again - and let me tell you, I do enjoy a good Friday. Not so much as a Saturday or a Sunday, but still - Fridays definitely make my top five.
As you all know by now, Friday is a day for recollection here in the G.W. Medical offices. What have we accomplished this week? What will we need to focus on more fully in the week to come? Whose turn is it to bring candy next week?
Some things are obviously more important than others.
We don't limit ourselves to introscpection, however; Friday is also the day on which we look back over the major news stories of the week, determining which ones represent the most important (or most inspiring, or most disheartening) new developments in the world of child maltreatment.
Here, then, is this week's list:
1. Judge orders another parent jailed for contempt
2. Ball State warns students of sex offender
3. Child abuse lawyers urge government to reduce court fees
4. British writer John Mortimer dead at 85
5. Disturbing Behavior of Domestic Violence
6. Link Found Between Childhood Trauma and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
7. How Obama Can Use The Stimulus To Boost Public Health
8. Actor jailed for three decade old rape attack
9. Feminist icon hones in on the home
10. Victim glad she exposed sex offender
