Medical, Legal, Social Service, and Law Enforcement Books and Electronic Media on Child Maltreatment and Domestic Violence
Looking Forward to the Future of G.W. Medical Publishing and a New Model of Content Creation and Delivery Featuring a Focus on Education for Professionals From All Fields
Beginning this September, G.W. Medical Publishing will be undergoing a metamorphosis. As we've expanded our offerings to include texts geared for social workers, nurses, law enforcement officers, legal professionals, and other non-medical personnel, we've come to understand that referring to ourselves as "medical" publishers is something of a misnomer. Nor can we say that we're "child abuse" or "sexual abuse" publishers, as our library continues to grow and to incorporate additional forms of child and family maltreatment. In fact, even "publishing" is a bit misleading; G.W. Medical has been working to plan and administer training events, produce online learning activities, and expand into digital publication for several years.

In order to focus on our pledge to educate professionals from all disciplines, we've elected to rebrand ourselves as "STM Learning, Inc." You'll begin seeing our new name and logo on our letterhead, cards, web site, and newsletters by the end of the summer and can expect our first title under the new name to be published early next year. In the meantime, you can still find us online at gwmedical.com and it'll still be the same people answering the phones. In the future, however, we'll be expanding our vision and our mission to bring the best resources on child and family maltreatment and other human rights issues to the widest possible audience of invested professionals.
